Turned Parts

Precision turned parts are parts which carry out a turning process where the centre of the lathe is used to produce solids of revolution. This process can be carried out manually and is traditionally done using a lathe if this is the method used the process will require constant supervision from an operator, or alternatively it can be done using a computer controlled lathe, which does not need nearly as much supervision from the operator. A computerised machine such as this is called a a computer numerical control, which is commonly known as a CNC machine.
